The Fall of 2012 got a little more golden for Meyer Lumber Supply, Inc and customer Levi L Yoder.

On November 28, 2012, Levi Yoder, Athens, who works for EY Roofing, Dorchester was chosen as the winner of the Meyer Lumber Supply, Inc $1000 Shopping Giveaway. Mr. Yoder was selected at random from nearly 1000 entries from 33 area communities submitted from August 27- November 16.

Levi said he never thought he had a chance to win. He said he would plan to use the winnings for construction equipment and tools. He thanked Meyer Lumber for picking his name. He had several buddies that said they would help him spend it, but he declined the offer. Levi is a young Amish man and declined having his picture taken.

We still offer the same great building materials we always have but now they are housed in a drive-thru building.

In stock a wide selection of Dewalt power tools along with Milwaukee, Black & Decker and Skil. We also stock Bostitch, Paslode and Grip Rite pneumatic and gas powered tools. Many other major brands of power and pneumatic tools are available through the Do It Best warehouse or direct from the manufacturers.

Need a locksmith?

If a locksmith is needed, Meyer Lumber has a full locksmithing service, including simple key cutting and rekeying of locks, to making computer chip keys, new keys for locks with lost keys and safety deposit box pulling and safe cracking. If it has a lock, we can help. Our main lines of locks include Schlage, Kwikset and Dexter.


From Then to Now

Meyer Lumber is owned and operated by cousins, Dale and Duane Meyer. In 1954 Dale’s father Alvin, Duane’s father Art and another brother Clifford started Meyer Lumber Company on the west side of Dorchester. In 1987 Dale and Duane purchased the then incorporated Meyer Lumber Supply, Inc. In 2008 a new store was built and the business moved to its new location on the east side of Highway 13 in Dorchester. The new address became 1241 Meyer Drive, 1 block east of Hwy 13 on County Highway ‘A’. See map above. The “How to find us” map on the left is not accurate.

If our expanded hours and being open 7 days a week still doesn’t work for you, shop the Do It Best warehouse online where you can purchase any of the warehouse items for overnight delivery. If you want to purchase a product that cannot be delivered by UPS, you can use the Ship to Store feature, this allows you to order online and have it shipped to our store via the Do It Best truck. Our Do It Best truck deliveries are every Friday around noon except for Holiday weeks which are Saturdays.
